Summer Heels!!
I've been on a search for the "perfect" pair of wedge sandals for this summer - and then I thought about it. Is there really a "perfect" pair when it comes in way too many colors, heights and forms?

I find that neutral wedge sandals are a really easy way play up any outfit and colorful ones steal the show when worn with solids or neutrals. My preference? BOTH. It's like making sure you have solid pumps and colorful pumps in your closet, you just need both.

Why do I love them?
Wedges don't wear down as easily as other shoes, so this is a shoe that will most likely last you multiple summer seasons. I just threw out a pair from years ago ONLY because I couldn't mend the strap back on and I refused to use duct-tape (no!) I love the fact that I can walk in grass with wedges, no embarrassing "stuck in the grass" episodes (I've had them too many times), wedges allow me to dress up for a summer event while still being functional. (Heels at a block party vs. Wedges at a block party - you decide). I also love how I can add height but not compromise stability because of the structure, especially if the wedge has a platform which most do.

There's always a catch....
The thing about wedge sandals is that it can be hard/impossible to incorporate this look into your work wardrobe. If that applies to you make it a part of your weekend rotation. Or you can wait until the colder months and get away with wedge boots.

What are some of your favorite "summer heels" out right now? Neutrals or color for you?

I adore the Nine West ones. Too bad I can't walk in those heels or any for that matter.
