Making the Most Of It

Last weekend was my job's biannual auction, and even though I really didn't want to go my friends threatened me, so "magically" I showed up. The theme was "Hollywood on the Hilltop" but mostly only outside visitors dress for the theme; I knew that most people would wear their LBD and maybe some sort of accessory. 

Since I was dragging that day, I decided to do my best to perk myself up by wearing my newly acquired colorblock peep-toe sling-back pumps from Nine West, wrap myself in a bright yellow pashmina and free my hair from it's "i need to get it done" ponytail, twisting them into knots and letting it just go. The Auction was ok - I knew I wasn't bidding so I was free to chat it up as well as wine and sushi dine with my colleagues.  Good Times!
