Friday, friday, friday....
This is hilarious.... as our clothes are getting more and more luscious, skinny chicks are either jealous or according to the article below, trying to gain weight to fit into them. I find that funny.. often "we" (as in us curvy girls) were the ones left out of the "clothing chase"; the times where you and your girls go shopping and you're the only one who leaves the store with just a pair of earrings.
Skinny chicks...leave our clothes alone!!!!! Designers have finally gotten the hint that we are just as worthy of sexy clothing- so I refuse to fight a "single-digit" because she wants to wear my clothes!!! Check out the article : Women gaining weight to fit into trendy plus-size fashions
How do you feel about this?
Whatever you get into this weekend, make it a good one!

HAHAHA!!!
Skinny girls leave our clothes alone!!!
My friend just sent this blog over as a link.. I like it! And I'm guilty... I'm a "single digit" and I have noticed that my bigger friends clothes have been looking better, brighter and more stylish. I'm guilty of going shopping with them just to see where they shop and thinking of ways I could fit into their clothes... I can where that's frustrating for a bigger girl...maybe plus size designers should make clothes for smaller girls too!
Ohhh see now I'm hot!
I'm going to disrespectfully disagree with Tina. Trendy clothes for plus sizes were made because there was a HUGE GAP in the market! Designers made clothes for YOU and forgot about US... there was nothing short of mumu's and elastic waists... now that we have clothes that flatter our shapes, let us big girls have fun!
I think that the whole "plus size" distinction needs to be done away with already! I have a whole blog post in my head about it - and will let u know when I actually get a chance to write it down. You know I would LOVE your input!
This doesn't surprise me at all: this summer when me and a single digit sized friend online shopped for bathing suits she was upset because mine (from Old Navy's plus size line) were much flyer than anything available for her at a similar price! There's that and the fact that my friends, regardless of their size, love my style!
LOL, I can't front, sometimes when we go shopping I'm like "DAMN that's cute If only it came in a size 7!" However, I know it would probably be a bit easier for me to find something similar in my size than it would be for you or for any other "plus-sized" fashionista to find something similar to something you'd seen in a single-digit size. I agree with anonymous there-- why should plus-size designers make clothes for smaller sizes when most of the fashion industry has forgotten about plus-sized women?? So have fun with your clothes. . . revel in it!
Besides, there are a lot of cute accessories in plus-sized stores, lol. I should know. One of my favorite pair of earrings came from Ashley Stewart (the silver leaves, I don't know if you remember). Once this girl at work asked me where I got them from. When I told her, she kinda looked at me like I was crazy, but she didn't say anything . . . haha.
I just read the article and it sounds like a joke to me.
"A spokeswoman for the National Organization for Women stated, "Thin women need to be reminded they are attractive too. Society has set the unfair expectation that women must reach an unattainable plus-size standard to be considered beautiful.""
Seriously???? Thin women need to be reminded that they are attractive, too? Ummm. How about the whole freaking country celebrates being thin. So let's not go there.
Hello, that article is very funny, I never thought I would live to see the day. Our clothes are getting better by the year aren't they?
The article is off a comedy news site, people.
Ugh. I hate how fat chicks always call themselves 'curvy'. Being curvy is one thing, having big tits, shapely hips, and an ample ass. Wearing a size 16 is fat. Fat girls who call themselves curvy just want justification for that XL order of fries, and you have absolutely no desire to lose any of that unhealthy weight lest you sacrifice your precious curvolls. It's one thing to acknowledge your excessive weight, it's another thing to celebrate it and hate on girls that are thinner than you. You're looking down on them for supposedly trying to gain weight to fit into your plus-sized rags, but it's just a reflection of your own desire... You seem not to realize skinny girls are probably hanging around you for your funny personality and comparison value.
Jesus, ladies, lay off the narcissism. You aren't hot, so just walk away from your McMeal and eat an apple or something.
@ Fat Dude, I respect everyone's opinion - however I find it interesting and sad that you take the time to write such ignorance on a blog is that is made with the plus size woman in mind. It's not narcisscim, just appreciating what society has been slow to embrace. Everyone is made differently, so why should plus size woman not be able to have the same clothing/fashion experience? There are plenty of size 16 CURVY women who take care of themselves, eat plenty of apples and could care less about what malicious and ignorant people like you think. If you don't like "fat girls" why even bother posting a comment?
